Paint Correction

For vehicles with real paint damage. Multi-stage machine correction removes deep swirl marks, scratches and oxidation - bringing the paint back as close to new as possible without a respray.

The Best Your Paint
Can Look Without a Respray

Paint correction is a multi-stage machine polishing process. Before any machine work begins, a full decontamination removes every bonded contaminant - iron fallout, tar and bonded contamination using a clay bar - leaving the surface smooth and completely free of contaminants. Correction then goes deeper than a standard enhancement, using progressively finer compounds and pads to remove swirl marks, scratches and oxidation from the clear coat.

This is the right service for vehicles with heavy swirl marks, visible scratches in the clear coat, oxidation, water etching or dull paint that a single stage won't fix. We assess the paint thoroughly before quoting so you know exactly what's achievable.

The result is a mirror-like finish - deep gloss, sharp reflections and clarity that makes the paint look better than it has in years. Once correction is complete the surface is in its best possible condition for a ceramic coating to go on. The combination delivers results that hold up for years.

Paint correction can't fix damage that's gone through the clear coat into the base coat, or deep stone chips and scratches. We'll be upfront about what's achievable on your specific car before any work starts.

How It Works

01
Wash and Decontamination

Full hand wash, full paint decontamination - iron fallout, tar and bonded contamination using a clay bar. We need a tap and power point on site. The paint needs to be completely clean before machine work starts.

02
Paint Thickness Measurement

We measure the clear coat thickness across the vehicle before polishing. This tells us how much correction is safe and guides compound and pad selection.

03
Multi-Stage Machine Correction

Two to three stages of machine polishing with progressively finer compounds. Each stage is inspected under LED lighting before moving to the next.

04
Final Inspection

Full inspection under LED lighting across every panel. We're checking for any remaining defects and assessing gloss level before the surface is prepped for coating.

05
Ceramic Coating and Finish

With the paint in its best condition, ceramic coating is applied panel by panel under cover and cured properly. Tyres dressed, glass cleaned. Your car is ready when you are.

Paint Correction Questions

We measure paint thickness and inspect under LED lighting before recommending a stage. Light swirls might only need one, heavier scratches and oxidation need two or three. We won't sell you more than your car needs.
No, not if they've gone through the clear coat into the base coat or primer, those need touch-up paint or a respray. Correction removes swirl marks, light scratches, water spots and oxidation sitting in the clear coat itself.
Yes, when it's done properly. We measure paint thickness before we start so we know exactly how much clear coat we're working with.
Correction strips back contaminants and leaves the paint exposed. Sealing it straight after means the work doesn't undo itself in a few weeks of driving.
Most jobs run a full day. Heavier correction across more panels can run into a second day.
